What Lagani is
Lagani is a tool for keeping records of your investments in shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange and for analysing them. It works out costs, charges, tax and returns from what you enter, and shows charts, technical signals, a screener, a watchlist and alerts.
Lagani is not a broker, an investment adviser or a licensed financial service. It cannot buy or sell shares and holds none of your money or securities. It is independent and is not affiliated with NEPSE, SEBON, CDSC, MeroShare or any broker.
Your account
- Accounts are opened on request. You ask for one with the form on the contact page; our team creates your account and sends you a link with which you choose your password. A request does not oblige us to open an account.
- Your account is for you alone. Do not let anyone else use it.
- You are responsible for keeping your password, your two-factor codes and any invitation or reset link private, and for everything done through your account.
- If you connect Discord or Telegram, you are responsible for who can see that channel or chat. A Discord webhook address works for anyone who has it; treat it as a secret.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has had access to your account.
Your records
What you enter or import remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it for the sole purpose of providing Lagani to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you enter and import. Every figure Lagani shows depends on it. Lagani does not check your entries against your broker, your depository account or any official record. Keep your own copies of important records; the backup on the Reports page is there for that.
If you share a portfolio with another account, you decide who that is and are responsible for that choice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Lagani for anything unlawful;
- try to reach accounts, portfolios or data that are not yours or have not been shared with you;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or get around its security or limits;
- collect data from Lagani by automated means, or copy, resell or republish the market data, signals or other content it shows;
- enter content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights;
- present Lagani's output to others as investment advice or as an official statement.
Calculations are estimates
Lagani works out broker commission, regulatory fees, depository charges, capital gains tax, average cost and returns from the rates configured in the system and from your entries. Those rates may be out of date or differ from what your broker actually charged, rules may change, and your entries may be incomplete.
The results are estimates to help you keep track. They are not tax, accounting or legal advice and are not a substitute for your broker's contract notes, your depository statements or the advice of a qualified professional. Check them against official documents before relying on them, in particular for tax.
No investment advice
Nothing in Lagani is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Signals, ideas, screener results, alerts, targets, track records and the assistant's answers are automated readings of past data. You make your own investment decisions and bear their results. The Risk Disclosure sets this out in full and forms part of these terms.
Market data and other services
Prices, news, company figures and other market information come from third parties, and notifications are delivered through third-party services such as Discord, Telegram and email, and a third-party language model service may be used to put the assistant's readings in plainer words. We do not control those services. Their data may be delayed, incomplete, wrong or unavailable, and their delivery may be late or fail. Your use of Discord or Telegram is subject to their own terms.
Availability and changes to the service
Lagani is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, on time, secure or free of errors. It may be unavailable without notice, and is closed to users from time to time for maintenance.
We may add, change or remove features, change how figures are worked out, or stop offering Lagani altogether.
Suspension and ending your account
We may suspend or close an account at any time, for example where these terms are broken, where an account appears to be compromised, or where the service is being withdrawn. A suspended account cannot sign in.
You may stop using Lagani at any time and may ask for your account and its records to be deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Lagani team, its administrators and anyone who helps run Lagani are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Lagani or your inability to use it. That includes, without limit: investment losses and missed gains; decisions made using its figures, signals or alerts; errors or delays in market data or calculations; alerts that arrive late or not at all; tax or charges worked out differently from what you actually owe; and loss of, or unauthorised access to, your records.
Nothing in these terms removes a right or a liability that the law does not allow to be removed.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. If you keep using Lagani after a change, you accept the changed terms.
